Each carving in this collection is worked from a single block of natural gemstone. The animal form is roughed out first, then refined through the head, body, limbs, and surface detail — feathers, scales, fur texture, facial expression — until the carving can hold on its own without relying on paint or added material to complete the impression.

Natural stone introduces variation that a mould or cast cannot replicate. The striping in a tiger’s eye shifts direction as the block is carved into a rounded form. The banding in an obsidian owl catches the light differently across the polished feather planes. In each case, the stone’s own character becomes part of the finished piece rather than something worked around.

The collection currently includes four animals — Bulldog, Owl, Dragon Baby, and Unicorn — each available in multiple stone varieties. The form is the starting point; the material changes what that form looks and feels like.

The four forms read differently as objects. The Bulldog is compact and low to the ground — a solid, stable shape that suits a desk or shelf where you want something that has presence without height. Yes, every carving is made from natural gemstone — not resin, glass, or dyed synthetic material. Natural stone has weight, surface temperature, and internal variation that cast materials cannot replicate. You can verify this by handling the piece: it will feel cool, carry some heft for its size, and show markings that do not repeat.

The product photos show a representative example of that animal and stone combination. Because each block of natural stone has its own colour depth, banding, and inclusion pattern, the specific piece you receive will have the same stone variety and animal form but its own individual surface character.
