Every owl in this series begins as a single piece of natural crystal, and no two stones ever turn out alike. Across red jasper, black obsidian, amethyst and clear quartz, the color and veining shift from piece to piece — nature's fingerprints, not flaws. What variation exists is in the depth and direction of each stone's own pattern, laid down deep in the earth over ages.
Each owl is carved entirely by hand from a single piece of stone, then polished to a soft, smooth glow. The rounded head, the two bead eyes, the folded wings and the small carved feet are all cut with the same patient hand — nothing moulded, nothing cast. The series comes in two sizes, 2.5 inches and 4.0 inches, each small enough to rest on a shelf, substantial enough to feel like a real companion.
The owl has long been the companion of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, and across the West it stands for keen sight and quiet knowledge.
