Carved from a Single Block
Every 3.0" skull begins as a raw block of natural gemstone, shaped entirely by hand β rough-ground into form, then refined at the eye sockets, cheekbones, and jaw until the stone's own character comes through. No casting, no moulding, no two results the same. The carver works with the stone, not against it.
In crystal practice, the skull form is traditionally used as a focal object for intention-setting and meditation. The 3.0" size sits naturally in both hands and holds its presence on an altar or desk without overwhelming the space.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the 3.0-inch size different from 2.2-inch?
The 3.0-inch skull is approximately 7.6 cm in length β about 35% larger than the 2.2-inch version. At this size, the stone's natural colour depth, banding, and translucency become more visible, and the carving detail at the eye sockets, cheekbones, and jaw is easier to read both up close and from a short distance.
It sits well on a desk, bookshelf, or altar as a display piece that holds its presence in the space without being unwieldy. Most people who want a skull for everyday display find the 3.0-inch to be the practical middle point between compact and substantial.
How is each skull carved β is it really done by hand?
Yes. Each skull is carved from a single block of natural stone by hand. The process moves through rough shaping, facial structure, and detail work at the orbital ridge, nasal area, and tooth line. Nothing is cast or moulded.
Carving from a single block means the finished skull retains the stone's continuous grain, internal colour layers, and natural structure throughout β which is only possible when no separate pieces are joined together.
Because each carver works within the constraints of the individual stone, and because no two blocks of natural material are the same, no two finished skulls are identical.
How do I clean and care for a 3.0-inch crystal skull?
The safest method for most natural stone skulls is a soft dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth, wiped and dried immediately. Avoid leaving the surface wet, and do not use chemical cleaning agents, alcohol, or abrasive materials.
A few material-specific notes:
Amethyst and Rose Quartz are sensitive to prolonged direct sunlight and may fade over time β store away from strong UV exposure. This is mainly because the ultraviolet rays and heat from sunlight damage the color-causing elements inside them.
Fluorite has a relatively low hardness and four directions of natural cleavage, making it more vulnerable to impact β handle and store with care.
Black Obsidian is volcanic glass and can chip at the edges if knocked against a hard surface.
For the specific care guidance relevant to your stone, check the material notes on the individual product page.
